Regrowing Your Hair - 11 Rules To Follow.

Again.....remember I am just stating my opinion!

1. With cutting edge treatments it is entirely possible to regrow some of your lost hair. The best possible outcome is that you can regress your hair loss condition back as far as 30 months from the time you start treatment.

2. You must not panic or become overly obscessed with your hair loss problem. This leads to "jumping" from one treatment to the next without giving a particular treatment enough time. It takes 4-6 months to determine whether a treatment is effective. You need to pick a treatment and stick with it for that length of time. You need to divorce yourself from all emotions of fear and panic. If you act upon these emotions you will never solve your hair loss problem.

3. Don't try multiple treatments for hair loss at the same time. If your hair loss worsens or get's better you really have no way of knowing what treatment is responsible.

4. You should start with inexpensive treatments first. If after 4-6 months you determine the treatment was ineffective, you can then move on to a more expensive alternative. Price is no way of determining how powerful or effective a treatment is. The best treatment in my opinion on this site is "Minomuck" and it will cost you only about $12 a month.

5. Start with topical treatments first. Do not start by taking a lot of vitamin supplements or prescription medications. There is no point in risking potentially dangerous and permanent side effects when the area you want to treat (your hair follicles) are less than an 1/8 inch under the skin. Topical treatments are generally 100 times safer than oral treatments. In my opinion topical treatments are also more effective. Contrary to popular belief there are almost always side effects from vitamin supplements as well as prescription meds.

6. You have time. The hair you lost today can sometimes be regrown for up to 30 months after the follicle stopped producing hair. This means you may again enjoy the the same head of hair you had 30 months ago as long as you get started with a good treatment.

7. Don't automatically dismiss so called "unproven treatments". "Unproven" simply means no one was willing to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to get FDA approval. The only companies willing to do this are those that have a product or substance that can be patented. If, for example, rubbing "milk" on your scalp would regrow all your hair it would still be considered an unproven treatment. You can't patent the chemical composition of milk therefore there would be no incentive for a big pharmaceutical company to spend the money to prove it was effective. If they did spend the money, and prove it was effective, hundreds of companies would also start selling it. The poor company that spent the money for FDA approval would never recoup their investment. Proven treatments are only substances that can be patented. Don't automatically dismiss "unproven" treatments but always be skeptical of any treatment.

8. Pay no attention to before and after pictures. They are meaningless and can easily be faked.

9. Pay no attention to testimonials. These can easily be lies. Even if they are not lies they will still represent the best case scenario. That is why you will never find any pictures or testimonials on my site! They are meaningless!

10. Beware of internet message boards. No matter how effective a treatment is there will always be some idiot that claims the product didn't work or attributes some ridiculous side effect to the treatment in question. They will even claim that the so called "proven" treatments caused their hair loss to accelerate! This is their response to the emotions of fear and panic I discussed earlier. In my opinion 20% of all the posts on internet message boards, related to hair loss treatments, come from people who could be diagnosed with a psychiatric condition. They are in acute psychological distress. That's the very reason why they're posting messages incessantly. They are searching for answers yet can't stick with any treatment that doesn't start regrowing their hair within a few days! They are panic stricken and or severely depressed. Internet message boards are a wonderful tool for finding good hair loss treatments. Just understand that these mentally ill types tend to gravitate to them. Learn to differentiate the "crazies" from the rational people. I must confess I was once one of these "crazies". You probably will not succeed in solving your hair loss problem until you become one of the "rational".

11. My god it's only hair! You don't really have a problem. If tomorrow your doctor tells you that you have cancer or some incurable disease... that's when you have a problem. You can live a happy and productive life and still be bald! I realize this is not the kind of advice you want to hear but that doesn't mean that many of us don't need to hear it! Male pattern baldness can also be accelerated by stress. The less you stress yourself about the condition the longer you'll keep your hair in the first place. Try not to be so obscessed and concerned! There is nothing in this world you can do with hair that you can't do without hair. You can be desired by the opposite sex. You can be loved and respected. You can be get married, start a family, have a great career. You can go sky diving, swimming or drive a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Bald people have become president. Bald people have flown on the space shuttle. Bald people have even walked on the moon. There is no limit to what you can do, or become, or accomplish. The only limit you have is the one you set in your own mind.
